This is beautiful.  I am assuming you are looking west because on the horizon I think I see The Brothers in the Olympic Range. And then a planet and a meteor perhaps?   (I am thinking the moon would be much larger and in the east, not the west these days.)   ~z

Eagle raiding heron nest.  Crows eventually drove it away.

The Brothers have always been my favorite part of the Olympic sky line.  I need to go visit.

I wish I could say it was a meteor, but at full zoom in the original file there are regularly spaced dots, telltale sign of a plane with blinking lights on the wings.

Alki would have been crowded I'm sure, but there's a lot of shore nearby and the crowds thin out quickly.

Last Thursday 5/7 Moonrise from Seward Park.  Rainier is faintly visible in both of these.
