Well Im down in Phoenix now. I spent the last two weeks working at the Newmont gold mine near Elko Nevada. I drove my Liberty on this trip. I just pulled in last night. 785 miles on 21.5 gallons. 36.51 MPG. Not bad at all. Time for some desert hiking. up.gif

rolleyes.gif Yep sounds about right. Now i'll rant rant.gif 2012 Global Ford Ranger, and Global Chev Colorado versions boast similar fuel mileage figures. They both meet all North American emission and Safety standards. Yet both are not available in North America. Why? Cause both Ford and GM believe they will sell. uhh.gif Yep, they are afraid the American public will buy the more fuel efficient Ranger, and Colorado instead of there F150 or 1500 series pickups. vent.gif

Doesn't surprise me Hulkster. Its great having a true 4x4 that I can sleep in that gets 35+MPG.

What a coincidence. So am I. Maybe I'll see you there.

Elko... the middle of nowhere... but the epicenter of cowboy poetry. I actually like the drive in the middle of Nevada. As long as I'm plenty caffeinated and have something to listen to, it's neat to go miles and miles, not seeing a soul. It's a different world.
