why can't I find any information on the lake Helen & lake west trails in the glacier view wilderness area? this is the most info I have found so far. I would much rather hike there than Gobbler's Knob if the trails are still there. Continue bearing generally north and, at about 1.6 miles, reach a junction with the Lake Helen Trail to the right; stay straight.

The trails are still there but you have to drive in from the south. The roads and trails that show on the map coming from the north don't exist or are behind gates.

we will be going to the lake Christine trailhead, visiting mount beljica then going to glacier view. the ranger station didn't have much info. i'd rather not trek 1.3 miles out to lake Helen if it's not going to have any water in it but solid information is eluding me.

You can drive closer then the Lake Christine TH. Instead of turning off to toward Lake Christine keep going until you get to the end of the road. The road ends just under the ridge where the trail from Beljica Meadows hits the ridge toward West and Helen Lakes. Both lakes have plenty of water. Why wouldn't they?
