Today we took the same route that we did 2 years ago, heading up between Noble Creek and Price Creek. This route allows you to gain about 2,000 ft. without touching a main road, and avoiding the snowmobiles. Then you only have another 400 ft. to get to the microwave tower.
The "partly sunny" forecast turned in to a mostly sunny day! With the flocked trees on the upper portion, this was probably the prettiest trip we have done on Keechelus Ridge.
We had planned to leave the Chihuahuas home today, but Luis begged us to take him along. We left Lupe home with our foster dog, and later regretted not bringing her along.
The snow was soft, and we sunk in about 5-8 inches with each step. A third person along to help break trail would have been nice!
