Timing was excellent for our annual Rainier camp-out.
Night time temps in the 40's and daytime temps downright hot 
On our way up to Mazama Ridge we happened to run into no other than JimK and two of his friends, the only people we saw for the rest of our time on the ridge.
Hard to believe, solitude was had on a perfect weekend on MR 
 room with a view  evening walk  hiding from the sun with a cold one  Little Tahoma  hmmm-cole slaw  after dinner walk  Tatoosh peaks  snow designs  snow pattern  sunset  Tom still fast asleep  Tatoosh sunrise  sunrise  Mazama Ridge April 23  sunrise  short sleeve temps @ 9 a.m.  view home  a fine perch

Nice! I skied up Mazama on Monday afternoon, then up to Panorama and down to Paradise and wished I could have been there for the night!

And yes, I do seem to run into all kinds of NWHikers out there. It's always such a nice surprise. 
I guess smoke signals might have worked better!
