Timing was excellent for our annual Rainier camp-out. Night time temps in the 40's and daytime temps downright hot cool.gif On our way up to Mazama Ridge we happened to run into no other than JimK and two of his friends, the only people we saw for the rest of our time on the ridge. Hard to believe, solitude was had on a perfect weekend on MR up.gif

Glad you like the pictures. I sent the sunrise tent shot to Henry Shires/tarptent and he posted it in his gallery. smile.gif And yes, I do seem to run into all kinds of NWHikers out there. It's always such a nice surprise. up.gif I hear, Dicey tried to send us headlamp signals from their campsite near the Castle. hockeygrin.gif I guess smoke signals might have worked better! flammable.gif

Nice! I skied up Mazama on Monday afternoon, then up to Panorama and down to Paradise and wished I could have been there for the night!
