Back to the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust area up Mountain Home Road for a mountain bike ride. Parked at the "End of County Road" sign and entered through the green gate opposite. 10 minutes later at the saddle, I turned left (north). Right will take you out toward Boundary Butte. Check out the Mountain Home Lodge map here: http://www.mthome.com/Images/summertrailmap.pdf
I rambled out to the NE high point of the ridge, called Peshastin Lookout (No Lookout here). Balsamroot is sporadically blooming now, probably better next week. A nice peaceful area with blooms, butterflies and birds.

Looks like a nice time of year to do that area. Boundary Butte is one of my brother's routine hikes. I have done it with him a couple of times and thought it a very pleasant local hike to get some decent views. I also saw some mt. blue birds the last time I was there.

Thanks for the report. We need to know the scenic bike rides. The title says 3/29. Do you mean 4/29?

(Title date fixed) Lots of swallowtail butterflies are out now. It was nice to be at eye level with a red tail hawk soaring about. My usual ride is to park at the same spot, continue up the road on the bike, tag Boundary and loop out the Canyon Crest trail. Nice creative possibilities up there.

Wenatchee Valley
I love shots like this. The pastoral.
This Wenatchee Valley view might have a few more signs of human presence than you'd really like, but those same signs tell you that you might be able to find a place to have lunch.
