Stop! Stop! Don't mess with it any more.
Whew! At least the Saloon is where it's supposed to be. The funny thing is that I don't even drink. But after today, I may have to start. Thanks. ~z
P.S. I just now looked at some of the comments. NWHikers rocks as is. It doesn't need to look all fancy and slick. Please, please leave it the way it is. It has a nice familiar, homey, not-in-your-face look. Great color scheme--so restful and easy to read. It's sweet the way it is. Please leave it be. ~z |

The latest version of the layout looks good.
However, the "a" for amazon is almost too small to see now, might have to spell out the whole word.
Thank you, Tom, for all your efforts to keep things working and keep such a variety of users satisfied.
P.S. I like the "Links" list showing up next to Support. Maybe it will get more attention and be kept more up-to-date, which would be a valuable resource.

You'll have to switch from small cap a to cap A on occasion; Amazon isn't consistent with that, so you can't be, either.

Thanks for the feedback. I made the amazon logo a little bigger. Can't spell it out as there won't be enough room on smaller screens, especially with long usernames, and I don't want it to dominate or start to look like a banner ad. |

I applaud Tom's efforts. Plus, I want NWH to remain as strong and healthy as a website as it can be.
I was only disappointed with the original placement that crowded the main row, but where it is now is totally fine. |

Did the "a" get bigger while I took a nap?....... I think we're good now.

Thank you!
Tom, PLEASE don't glitz it all up with superfluous stuff that adds nothing. NWH is BY FAR my favorite forum, because it's fast, reliable, and easy to use (as well as being mostly the most civil forum).

PS: must be a tiny screen with BIG font and looong ID to make that row tight. Time to upgrade that IIci |

As far as where the money goes, who cares? 1. You aren't running the site, 2. You haven't been paying the bills for the site. 3. Someone clicking on the link doesn't cost the person anything and in fact isn't denying them a similar reward at another website, i.e. no cashback available at ebates or fatwallet.

It makes a difference if an organization is run as a private business or a non-profit and it's not a bad idea to know where one's money (or rebate credit) goes (think anti-access lobbying, etc.). |
