I received my copy today and am thoroughly pleased. I can't wait to try out some of the routes.
Great work, Dave!

You, sir, do nice work. I've been admiring those sketches for years. Had *NO* idea that you did them yourself.
Truly beautiful.

It is an excellent book.

Daffish, those are great sketches. I wish I'd had some of them with me when I did the Painted Traverse a couple years ago.
And RHughes, Iwasn't aware of your book earlier either.
Now I'll need to buy both.

The book is here.
Some people have looked at the book and seen great scrambling. I look at the book and see great artwork and a great deal of work in that art. The map sketches may look simple, but simplicity is deceiving and takes a lot of effort.
The sketches are tantalizing in what they portray and more tantalizing in what is not told. I would hope that some day Dave finds the time and a format to be able to incorporate story text to go along with the drawings. I'm not looking for scrambling directions, I'd like to hear, for example, what it's like to trek on some of those old trails that were used by miners way back in the day.
For now, this is a book to thumb through and look through again and again. Well done.
