I took my nephew on a nice day hike the other day. We both really enjoyed the trip to a very beautiful place. As Ive gotten people angry posting the name of this place Ill leave that out this time.

Ooh, a NWhikers Official Sekrit Lake I actually know about! What a fun place to take the nephew. They are a lovely set of ponds, for sure - surprisingly nice considering the relatively dull part of the Cascades they are located in. Given how close this place is to Seattle, and relative ease of access, keeping its location a secret is a good idea. These small and delicate lakes would get mobbed if well-known.

So keep it a secret. Why post a trip report at all just to tease people?

Ego. Don't talk about Fight Club other than to remind people that you know about Fight Club and they don't.

Take this post as inspiration. Look at maps. Explore. Who knows what you may find almost in your own backyard?

If you want to know, simply ask me via PM. For those who already know where this is its good beta information as to the snow situation.

It's been on the maps for a 100 years, Jr. can make it there on a day hike and it is still pristine? I doubt your post will change it much. Looks like a nice place.

I fell for this sekrit. People here don't like to disclose their "sekrit" locations. I don't blame them I guess. Although after finding out where it really was I was horrible disappointed. It looks WAYYYYY cooler than it really is. http://www.cooltrails.com/secretlk.htm <===== not accurate btw.
