You can drive within .3 miles of parking area.. There were 3 areas with trees over rd. However when i was coming down someone was trying to saw thru the largest tree .. I was unable to get to the lake however due to losing the trail in the snow..Ive never been there so it wasn't worth getting turned around trying to find it...

Thanks for the beta. Like usual, the east side over here is melting way faster.

Here I'll break it down for the people who like to stir crap up... Title of thread is Boardman lake In the OP I stated I didn't make it to the lake. Chronology of pics, road with trees and no snow, road with snow, SIGN with 2 lake names on it , pics of lake, then trail to Boardman which I clearly stated I lost due to snow Gee Sean, you didn't make it to Boardman but it's obvious there are lake pics. Sign says Lake Evan .....

Bummer you didn't make it to the lake, Sean! Was up there last Monday. Could only drive to within 0.8 miles of the TH so at least that melted out pretty fast despite the lack of sun and heat between then and now. Boardman Lake was still fairly frozen, just like the trail. ;-)

Yea, But i still had fun..Ive noticed that the loop doesn't get busy till after 8am..I parked at like 640am and had it to myself for the most part. I tried to follow some prints to stay on the trail, but they disappeared in the area of the trail were it opens up .. I talked to a couple of guys on my way down who said Bear/Pinnacle lake wasn't accessible.. How long does it normally take for the melt..

That would be Lake Evan which is at the beginning of the Boardman Lake trail.

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.

Sean - not sure about Pinnacle/Bear. You can probably get to Bear Lake pretty easily (even if you can't drive to the trailhead), though the lake itself is probably still frozen. Pinnacle is considerably higher so I'm guessing that'll be snowed in for quite a while. The forecasted warm weather this week should help, though.
