I can't imagine a better time to go to Rock Mountain. The wildflowers are absolutely spectacular! There is plenty of water running on the bottom portion of the trail and only a few bugs at the lower boggy meadow, not even worth getting the juice out. There is a good chance for solitude, I was the only one on the trail all day! The lower trail is muddy and very brushy in spots, so it may not be the best when its wet out, but otherwise an amazing hike!
WOW!
I was there on a fall day, and saw the remains of the summer flower show, but hadn't made it back there since. I've been missing out!
