I'm wanting to climb South Sister in Oregon this September. I have free time until pretty much September 24. If your wanting to, a bonus of Middle and North Sister would also be fun.

Climbs up South Sister are still open from the Devil's Lake trailhead, as far as I can tell. Access to North Sister is restricted due to Pole Creek fire. Should still be able to access Middle Sister from PCT on the west side through the Obsidian area. See http://inciweb.org/incident/3244/.

Gonna be smoky, though! EDIT, later: Trip report, Broken Top area, this past weekend.

May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view.--E.Abbey

We hiked up to Green Lakes on Tuesday afternoon. It was mostly clear while we were there, but folks who we met who were heading down mentioned that the smoke had just cleared for us. As we decided to finally head down the smoke started moving back toward the south, covering South Sister pretty thoroughly. So you might luck out on a climb right now, or you might not...
