I heard the Snowy Owls are back at Damon Point, and boy are they. Weather sucked but i went anyway. I got wet, it was cold, i forgot to check the tide chart and it was high tide. oops... but i forgot all about that after the first owl sighting, and then another and another, 10 in total. They didn't care about the rain. They were in pairs and even 3 side by side in places. Not too many crowds today either. Long drive for short hike but it was worth it to me...

Next i'm headed to the mountains on a clear day! Oh I did that yesterday...TR coming..
Lot's o' nice birds you got to see!
The Surf scoters were doing the same thing in front of my place the other day - ornery males jousting for position as Top Duck.

Beautiful!
What agency manages Damon Pt.? Lame request for info, I know.
I remember it as a state park, but my little google searches are offering no good info and the Grays Harbor County site is of little help as well.
Thanks
Jonathan
