We senior citizens enjoyed this hike yesterday, designed to give us a nice workout, with views, despite overcast conditions, zero snow or ice, and short enough for us to avoid being soaked by rain. In fact, the rain really poured down--as we drove back to our carpool location in Monroe. No epic, no overnight, no test of our capability to endure hardship (unlike impressive recent trip reports here): we are SO not into that! At our ages, our toughness is tested after joint replacements, cancer comebacks, major surgeries, loss of loved ones, etc. And, of course, we've a deep reservoir of memories of life-threatening events, to reflect on, and to revel in our survival!
