A fire ring can be made by anybody, anywhere and does not mean that a place is safe to camp at. But I think most of us know that. Another sign needed? rolleyes.gif Camp at your own risk?

What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities

Actually, not too far off. Cutting snags along roads was another thing that could be done as part of the timber sale contract--clearcut or partial cut. The trees, if there was enough sound wood in them, were included as part of the sale, paid for and hauled to the mill. That isn't done (here) anymore.

Do you think the family opposes more taxes for more funding so the forest services has enough budget and staff to make sure the wilderness is shopping-mall safe for them?

Dreaming - a wistful dilemma between hope and disappointment, perpetuated by occasional bouts of happiness.
