Eric W and I conspired this weekend to do some climbing in the Nooksack Cirque. Our grand plans of high alpine shenanigans only partly materialized, but we had a great time effecting our plan B and wound up on the summit of Nooksack Tower.
Conditions were a bit spicy with plenty of snow still on the face. A lot different experience than my previous trip up Nooksack Tower in July 2009.
Thanks to Eric for signing up on such short notice!
Here are some photos:

That's one of a few peaks in Washington that scares me. Awesome climb, and great shots!

nice one! you're really racking up the multiple ascents on some of the big ones...
Q: why does Eric have his pad for the climb? Unexpected bivy? Splint? Nap attack? Narcolepsy?

Stefan.. we were carrying overnight packs because we were intending to carry over and climb through. We had second thoughts after looking at the remainder of our route draped in loosely-laminated snow. Our original goal was a longer traverse, and we were carrying 3 days worth of food/gear.
