Can't really add to what others have said beyond I'm real glad to hear it wasn't more serious, and heal up quick!
I've always been of the mind that if you can't separate yourselves to the point where one person waits in a safe location while the other climbs a pitch, then you climb with your nose practically in the lead person's butt. That way, any dislodged rocks can't get any momentum going. Even a big rock is no big deal if it only drops 6", but by the time it's dropped 6' it has a lot of energy.
