Mt Adams plus Merika
This gentleman had boxer-briefs, closed-toe slippers, an American Flag, and a bottle of vodka. He would stop and holler at most passers-by. The question remains; what is it about this peak that causes so many shenanigans?

Probably was The Angry Hiker or some of his Kin.

to answer the question,
It is a lot easier to climb than rainier, Baker, Hood, Glacier, and many other mountains.
People are lazy, and they translate easier to easy.
Adams < Rainier
therefore
Adams = Eagle Creek
Then, I don't make it to the Summit because I am involved in helping 2 guys who couldn't even get their crampons on the right feet, or the guy who thought it was a good idea to take his dog up a volcano and is shocked that I am duct taping his dogs feet back together.
both true farking stories.

It's only weird because it's in the States. If we were in Russia nobody would bat a lash.

There was a (Ukranian?) father/son team on the summit of Rainier recently. One pack, no rope or crampons, blue jeans, etc. Somebody told them they were amazing. He simply said 'Whaz big deel? Walk up mountain.'

Because Mt. Adams is the perfect place to do silly/stupid stuff and feel awesome because you're on a high peak, while not actually being on terrain more hazardous than a typical hike on I90.
I was planning to do all sorts of absurd shenanigans on Adams this summer but got absorbed into the world of glaciers so no time for silliness.

Big mountains attract all kinds. Adams is easier than any of the other big mountains in the state.

He must have gotten quite a sun burn if he made it all the way dressed like that.

This is the best thing I have heard out of MRNP in a long while.
I love the smell of deet in the morning.
The smell, you know that deet smell, the whole mountain.
Smelled like... victory.

I just a photo of that guy on the summit, somewhere, maybe Tumblr. There was no explanation for the photo, so this "helps."
Was he yelling like he was angry? Or just yelling cause he be crazy?
Between the silence of the mountains and the crashing of the sea...
