Their summit lists, not the debate. (Take that negativity out the privy.)
If you can summit, so can a dog.

On or off leash?
What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities

Wow! class 5 dog! pretty impressive since you must have done the NE route to stay out of the park.

Yeah, we approached from heather pass but I don't recall there being any class 5...? There was some mighty steep snow (early June) but jack's integral crampons & ALD system handled it just fine.

Al and/or Gwynnie have slept on Daniel & Maude.
Gwynnie's done Fortress, Al's done Buck.
Al got to 9200 on Glacier Pk, but it was too late in the year and not worth it.
He wants to do Tahoma. "Why, no, Mr. Ranger sir, this is not my dog. I think it's a stoned marmot. He's been following me around all day..."
The first pic is Al on Joker (Pasayten) the day before he got hurt in the blowdown on the Three Fools Trail. Unfortunately, his knee has not recovered, and even if I could afford the surgery, I doubt I'd have the confidence to take him on tough stuff again. I am heartbroken; I can't bear to leave him at home.
Remember, DOGS ARE STUPID ABOUT ROCKFALL, both ends of it.
Some people have better things to do with their lives than walking the dog. Some don't.

I've been on a few of those summits with Jack. He's a good mountain companion and a brave dog, with limitations, e.g., freaking out while descending The Phantom waterfall after our bud tumbled on The Day. But, hey, all we humans were freaked out too.
An athletic dog can scramble down The Haystack.
Black Peak via S route (i.e., from Wing Lake) is class 2 with a couple class 3 moves at the very top. Yeah, the route goes over a wee bit into the park.

Yep. My old Elkhound, Torvald made it up and down the Haystack also. Both dogs went down head first without much hesitation.
wolffie - I feel your pain. When Tor got too old to hike any more I was crushed. Poor old guy was always ready to go but just couldn't do it any more. Labyrinth Mt. was his last peak and by the time we got back to the car he could hardly stand.
A little over a year before that he still had the stamina to attempt Maude in a day. We didn't make it due to my dunderheaded route choice coming up out of Leroy basin so I scattered his ashes on Maude the fall after he passed.
Oh, and I need to add the following to Jack's list above:
Teanaway Peak
Iron Mt.
Fortune Mt.
Bean Peak
Judy's Peak
Diamondhead
Windy Knob
Pickhandle Point
Crown Point
