Sorry to hear about the accident! Hope your recovery goes well.

When asked "Why do you climb"? Simply respond "Why don't you"?

I put up a brief account on facebook so find me there if you're looking for more details; I may post a thread about my recovery once this is a little further behind me but I've got a lot going on right now. Doesn't look like I'll be walking, working or living in my own home for several months and my surgeries are not yet over. warning graphic photo

Dane - I wish you a quick recovery - fortunately you appear young, resilient and focused and I think you will be out in the hills in the not so distant future. Sending as many good vibes as I can! Karen

You'll make it, Dane. Lots of time and hard work is what it will take, you can handle that. Glad you're alive and intact. Keep your head up brother.

Take it easy and heal up. You definitely, unlike a lot of users, have a legitimate claim to use the little scooters in Walmart!

What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities

Got to visit with Dane today. He's in good spirits and looks healthy. Hospital staff is good and taking good care of him. He's got a bed with a window view and I know he likes it. He's determined to heal fast and to get back out in the mountains.

Dane: I have been impressed by your awesome traverses as chronicled in your posts and your stint in "Out of the Mist". Best of luck to you in your ongoing therapy and rehab; hopefully in some years this will all be a big bump in the road....
