After my trip up to Freedom Peak I thought I'd make a quick run up to this old lookout site just down the road from the Stafford Cr Trail. I drove to the end of the Startup Creek Road. Crossed the footbridge and found the old road to my left (west). The road has either oversized water bars or small tank traps every 100 yards it seemed. The road had more bends in it than the Mississippi it seemed too. Every time I'd see a clearing at the end of the road, it'd curve to the right. Finally after a mile or so I reached the parking area and found an old trail on the western side. A hundred feet of gain or so and I was on the ridge enjoying the views at 3784'

How was the road up to the Standup Trailhead. Good enough for a 2wd sedan?

The road to Standup was good. Only 2 small snow patches left that should melt out soon.

I'm not into geocaching, but I did hear that there is one up there.
