Why didn't we think of this before? This is a lightweight, delicious way to get oxygen for those high-altitude hikes up Mt Si. Call it "two buck Chuck's anti upchuck stuff":

How does this differ from the well-known and already established nutritious product in cupboards of hikers throughout America, Cheerios?
By the way, I am a general, whereas you are a baker.

I think you are all behind the times and thinking in monochrome instead of kodachrome. General, I suspect you sit behind a desk much and slog little.
Those of us who hike for days, nay weeks at a time, outrank a mere dayhiker even if they are a general. We prefer a more varied, colorful diet--i.e. the preferred choice from Georgia to Maine:

Appl,
I actually prefer Alpha-Bits as the order of the day. Yes, they are a single color, but they contain 25 times more letters than Cheerios, and hence outrank all cereals and are less monotounous. This means my stomach can be reading a book or writing poetry while I am hiking. Also, if you have to leave a message on the trail like "Hey Jake, I took the left switchback", or "Your are ten minutes from the lake" it can be easily done with Alpha-Bits, but with Cheerios all you can do is say "O-O", a worrisome message which might create undue alarm.

To my untrained eye those cheerios appear to be sorted through a trommel and sluice box. Could it be cheerios are a mining byproduct?

Albuterol! it's the 11th essential

It's 1/3 the price.
