Happy Canada Day!
Quote: | Canada Day (French: Fête du Canada) is the national day of Canada, a federal statutory holiday celebrating the anniversary of the July 1, 1867, enactment of the British North America Act, 1867 (today called the Constitution Act, 1867), which united three colonies into a single country called Canada within the British Empire. Originally called Dominion Day (French: Le Jour de la Confédération), the holiday was renamed in 1982, the year the Canada Act was passed. Canada Day observances take place throughout Canada as well as among Canadians internationally. |
Take the Quiz (I got 8 out of 10, but then a touron might have an advantage in such a quiz)
Touron is a nougat of Arabic origin made with almonds and honey or sugar, without which it would just not be Christmas in Spain.

I think it's cute that they have their own little holiday.

well, because I'm not going to know any more about Canada the second time around than I do now.

as far as national anthems go, it is quite a number. *
their money is prettier than ours too.
(* although the Black Ingvars' metal version of Du Gamla Du Fria does kick some serious ass.)

9 out of 10!
I only missed the answer for the national motto.
Perhaps my Canadian co-worker is correct in his assumption that I seem more Canadian than he does.

Most questions regarding Canada are that way, unless they are about hockey, beer, and/or moose.
