A perfect destination as an interesting hike with an old friend on a calm sunny day. I'd always wanted to do this short but steep hike sneaking up behind the spectacular Index peaks.
steep initial hike up ~1500'/mile looking down Town of Index Index Summits
We had two other groups eventually on the summit, had a great view all around and some photogenic clouds:
And those two tarns added some more:
The flowers on the meadow had peaked, but some next to the car:
I was also checking this out as a potential ski tour. The upper portion would be great, though the lower half would be a little challenge for skiers... More pics here.

I like this one. It reminds me of the B&W photos in Becky's CAG, but even sharper.

Amazing photography! Really love all of your shots. May I ask what kind of camera you have?

I've been using Fuji xpro-1 for about 2 years now. it's a bit tricky camera, but I really like it once got used to its "quirky-ness". Also I spend a fair amount time w/ Lightroom...
