anyone want to do a hike or scramble next Sunday with me if the weather is decent? I'm willing to get up very early, but want to be home (in Seattle) in time to make dinner for my son, so preferably not a really long day. I'm open to suggestions as to where. Rampart ridge would be fine, or Mt Dickerman with an early start.

Hi I am new to the forum. 9 14 is my birthday and what not a better day to get a summit in ! I really have been wanting to cross dickerman off the list. How many hours would it take round trip from trailhead back to trailhead ?

hello mehitabel, I like what's on your list. Portlandhikers is a lot smaller pool than nwhikers, so I'm reaching out. Washington is a huge draw for me. I could meet you somewhere along your way some time perhaps. I don't mind a longish drive from Portland. Washington terrain is worth it. I have Glacier Basin and Third Burroughs on my list, as a dayhike. A friend here wants to explore southern MRNP, so I hope she and I can do Rampart Ridge. We did Pinnacle Peak last October. Camp Muir is on my list. Alpine Lakes. and many, many more... http://www.portlandhikers.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=17410 steve
