Road is no better and no worse than usual. For those of us who remember the "old route," the beginning is barely visible now. It was brrrr cold at Glacier when we met but that was the coldest of the trip - started off and stayed in shorts thereafter during the day. Berries: well picked over, still a lot of green berries, managed to munch enough to turn fingertips purple. A lot of folks backpacking like us, but still, it wasn't too crowded. Sat up late watching the clear sky and brilliant stars, hoping for the Aurora.
My first attempt at star photography:

Backpacking: limited to one pack at a time. Cameras: limited to as many as I can carry.

Looks like fall up there! I like the shot of the border peaks reflecting in the tarn. All the various tarns combined with the various views make for some nice photo potential up there. And even if it's a bit crowded up there, there are always some further corners one can push to for a bit more quiet.

agree. it's a nice place to visit despite being popular.
