The Seattle Times has a great sweet 16 candy poll. Now it's down to the final 8. Cast your vote.
Touron is a nougat of Arabic origin made with almonds and honey or sugar, without which it would just not be Christmas in Spain.

The fact that Candy Corn is beating out Starburst (which beat Skittles) should tell you all you need to know about the legitimacy of this bracket. Lewis Black said it best.

I dont think it is the notion that Candy Corn tastes great
It is the tradition. It is the seasonality. You dissect it and put the yellow part on the end of your teeth.
It is Halloween and like many holidays, the food associated with it is often not all that good. it is the ritual attached to it that makes it special

I truly enjoy the taste of Candy Corn, it is also a tradition, but I like it enough to take it along as snack food on hiking trips at other times of the year.

I don't recall my son ever getting much Candy corn in his trick or treating years. I herd some Portland radio station say Snickers was voted the most disliked candy to receive.
I am a Kit Kat man they are best frozen as are Crunch bars.

The ones I like all went down in round one - Butterfingers, Hershey's, Skittles, Milky Ways. Sigh. I just don't fit in.

I like candy with good freezable potential Peanut butter cups, York, junior mints
I too like candy corn and have a weak spot for the mix called "cowboy Candy" candy corn, burnt peanuts, good n plenty or other coated licorice and jelly bean

Candy corn is great if all you need is a pure sugar rush...
Personally I'd rather get mine from M&M's...

What use is a tradition that sucks? I've never liked candy corn and was pissed when people put it in my sack instead of something good like, well, just about anything else. I would always try to trade it away but none of my buddies liked it that much either.
And holiday food isn't that good? Dang, what horrible place did you grow up in? I love traditional holiday food (with only a couple exceptions like mincemeat pie). Nothing beats Christmas cookies. Nothing I tell ya!
Hell, I even like Necco wafers and these weird licorice bits my grandma always had in her candy dish better than candy corn.

Yeah, that too. Fruitcake and mincemeat pie... yuck.
But pumpkin pie? Oh hell yeah! And turkey and cranberries and smashed taters and gravy and stuffing and green bean casserole? Sure, you can eat most of that stuff any time, but as a traditional Thanksgiving meal it's hard to beat. And like I said - Christmas cookies. They make up for the fruitcake.
