Not being a morning person, I fantasize setting clocks ahead one more hour in winter, and call it Winter Daylight Time (WDT). No more standard time.

A person after my own heart. Why does anyone care whether it's light or dark when you're going to work? I want some light when I get off work so I can go for a walk or run at the park without having to wear a headlight, or do other things around/outside the house with enough light to see by.

I wonder if this means my co-workers will come back to the office even earlier than they already do, now that there will be the excuse of "but it's getting dark already!" (we work outdoors). hmmm.gif

I have often thought that we should propose a bill whereby the time difference between DST and PST should be split in half by a half an hour, and then left alone. Compromise anyone!!! cool.gif

If I was the king of the world I'll tell you what I'd do: spring forward happens at 4:00pm on a Friday and fall back occurs at 6am on a Monday. hockeygrin.gif

Since I have no expectations of forgiveness, I don't do it in the first place. That loop hole needs to be closed to everyone.

Well, if there's enough opposition to just leaving the clocks on the DST schedule and calling that "normal" time then I think this is a great compromise.

Unfortunately my work expects me in the office from 7:30 - 4, Monday - Friday regardless of the time of year.

Abolish DST altogether.

Just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean someone isn't out to get you.

I think this 12 hours/day, or is it 24?? is too Babylonian. We should have 10 units per day so I don't have to count with all my fingers, plus both feet. Then we could have one universal time throughout the planet, except Russia of course, which would have it's own system.

Isn't Russia like several years behind our time? I think we should all be on 3/4 time, which is aka waltz time. That way we could waltz through life. One two three One two three etc. For those who are always feeling Straussed out, waltz time is the perfect medicine

Touron is a nougat of Arabic origin made with almonds and honey or sugar, without which it would just not be Christmas in Spain.

if you were in Kabul or Tehran, you could have your very own 1/2 hour time zone.
