You might have been meeting some of this traffic in October. http://www.opb.org/television/programs/ofg/segment/chistmas-greens/#.VJ4d3yYWMXY.facebook

What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities

That was actually pretty informative. Bough harvesting in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. To think that the industry developed due to planting Noble Fir around Mt. St. Helens following the eruption and will soon have to adapt to the trees eventually outgrowing the harvesting ability of the gatherers. The narrator also said the profits go directly to the GP National Forest versus timber sales which go to the US Treasury. This is plugged back into FS salaries, planting and road repair. The road repair allows the harvesters access to the "product". It's a regular ecosystem. ~z

It isn't just around the blast area. Noble/Silver Fire/White Pine plantations are all over the place and bough sales also all over the place. It will all come to a screeching halt because there are no new plantations being created.
