I'm suffering from Föhnkrankheit.
Quote:
Föhn is the name for a specific wind that cools air as it draws up one side of a mountain, and then warms it as it compresses coming down the other side. These winds are believed to cause headaches and other feelings of illness. Many a 19th century German lady took to her fainting couch with a cold compress, suffering from Föhnkrankheit.
Ach du lieber!

Touron is a nougat of Arabic origin made with almonds and honey or sugar, without which it would just not be Christmas in Spain.

AKA Chinook headache to locals
Quote:
Chinook winds are said to sometimes cause a sharp increase in the number of migraine headaches suffered by the locals, and are often called "chinook headaches". At least one study conducted by the department of clinical neurosciences at the University of Calgary supports that belief.

It tried to blow my house down last night. Power was out during the middle of the night but came back on this morning.
