Well, at least the weather is wet now, and the mountains are seeing a little bit of accumulating snow. Unfortunately, last I checked it was supposed to warm up and start raining at high elevations by the end of the week.
I think to get "more winter" you need to have some kind of winter to start with.

I am driving to Bend OR this coming weekend. Checked out the weather predictions and snow conditions on the route. Even going through the ski areas, I have no need to anticipate anything but rain. A couple months ago, I was worried about timing this trip, due to all the snow and ice I might encounter.
Buds are popping, frogs are croaking, and tics and mosquitoes are emerging already.
