Just to clarify,

Nothing can justify what he did.
I assume you mean Barnes.

So as to that direction of thought is a waste of time.
Then I do not know what you are trying to uncover. You say you have everything already but are asking for more info.

As to the" YOUR", It was in reference to a remark regarding the Dept. of The Interior's summary report.
It is also your DoI...unless you are not a US citizen.

Based upon the incident at MRNP, it sounds like he skipped a checkpoint and was pursued by rangers because of this. When he did stop he shot at the rangers, killing one.
That's the way I remember it. It was only a tire chain checkpoint. He have said "Yes, I have them" and they would have let him continue to Paradise. Or he could have said "No, I don't have them" and they would have told him that he could't go to Paradise. I would venture to guess that not very many people skip the tire chain checkpoint at Longmire. When Barnes did this it was likely a big red flag.

Sounds eerily cryptic given the subject matter of this thread.

"Whatever your mountain, climb on."

...which should probably be taken down soon? Nothing positive is coming from this.

Threads should stay based on whether or not you believe positives are coming from a thread? What negatives are coming from this thread? None of real consequence that I can see.

Looking back at all responses from the Mount Rainier Ranger Shooting sure makes one laugh how people can just assume what they read is correct. For all you who made your convictions about the incident you have no clue about the many omissions and false statements you read. I'll give you just a few from real time video and FOIA's.................... The rangers indeed fire their weapons, Benjamin Colton Barnes vehicle was shot. Anderson had an AR-15 in her vehicle with a fired casing. Round was from front to rear with tail light fragments on the ground at the vehicle. Not to mention that Barnes doors had to have been closed to make the angle of the shot it looks like he was still in his vehicle. Sheriff's and National Parks both state they never fired their weapons. Story given says only Anderson was in front of Barnes to make that shot. Barnes never fired at swat for 90 min that was fabricated. Barnes was never more than 1900 feet from the incident at any given time from incident to death. Barnes was also proven self defense in the shooting before Mount Rainier at the Skyway party. So much more like finding the body the same day before dark not the next day. This is established from audio from memory stick from Black Hawk during real time video. So please before you judge learn the facts and not what you read on your so called official reports.

Why are you dredging this up after almost five years? An inappropriate topic for Trail Talk in the first place.

Seems best to ignore any response from this individual and not ask questions....all of his/her posts are on this singular topic; pot stirring? Let it lie and put on ignore may be the best option here.
