We are eating fresh overwintered lettuce from our mini unheated greenhouse. There is also spinach ready to pick. And the first 2016 planting of salad seeds is germinating.

I was attacked by hordes of large mosquitoes last night at Discovery park in Seattle, south bluff area. Large, numerous, active, and biting. At one point I had three on just one hand, maybe a dozen on me at one time.

I was able to walk in daylight after school today In spite of glopping snow all yesterday afternoon, some glacier lilies and beauties are making an appearance on the Ski Hill trails.

The Arrowleaf Balsamroots started blooming around my place in E. Wenatchee on St. Patrick's Day (same date as last year, for what it's worth).

They don't make years like they used to.
