After a frantic evening of rapidly changing plans and participants, John end I ended up at Lost Creek Trail. We were inspired by Raising3hikers's trip report from Breccia Peak and the stunning photos.
The morning was cool as we headed up the switchbacks to the ridge. There was almost no snow on the way to Bingley Gap, where we got our first look at some of the surrounding mountains through the trees.

Above Bingley Gap, the trail follows the ridge, gains some elevation, and quickly gets into snow. The snow was very stable. From the clearings on the ridge, you get great views of the mountains to the South.

Looking South. Del Campo, Morning Star, Sperry, and Vesper.
Soon we got to an overlook of Round Lake and our first view of Breccia.
Round Lake and Breccia.
It's still winter up here. Glacier Peak, Black Mountain, Painted Mountain.
Pugh
There was a steep section to cross above Round Lake. After that it was not far to the summit.

Snowcapped Peaks
Another party arrived a few minutes after us. They were the first people we ran into all day. A chilly breeze picked up, and high clouds took over the sky. We took a lot of photos and identified as many distant peaks as we could before heading down.
