Yes. The crops get all cornfused when the time leaps and falls about. Even weeds get befuddled. |

I don't care which "they" pick, just pick one and stick with it. Heck, I'd be fine with a compromise of going on the half-hour.
We had a chance to be rid of this forever way back around 1974 when Nixon (remember him?) stopped the time change, twice in a row, I believe, for some reason having to do with the oil crisis at the time. Sigh.

Actually, I do a lot more ranting about time changes in the fall! That's because various electronic clocks have to be reset by setting them ahead 23 hours--by that time my fingers are sore! My wrist watch is especially difficult. I guess that's better than never knowing what time it is with an old manually wound watch because I forgot to wind it!

I like the jump ahead in the spring except when the change takes place at 2:00am and my alarm clock is set to go off at 2:40am and my self adjusting clock jumps over my alarm set time and doesn't go off.
In that sense it's just like in the fall when I get an extra hour of sleep!

Pick one time and stick with it. Changing the time twice per year for no real reason is stupid. the numbers are real, more accidents and deaths and whatnot...
If it saves just one life! Do it for the children! Or do you hate children? (where are those people when you need them?)
Golf courses and resorts and some people seem to like that's it light until 11pm in the summer so if we stay on DST so be it. Just quit changing the time!

There is no logic behind daylight time. Clearly, we should keep the system in place. Besides, I don't know any retirees that care, and since we have an aging population we should think of them (er... more like us).
An alternative proposal: save thyme in a bottle in the fall, then use it in the spring.

I would like it year round.
Always like the extra daylight at the end of the day for those that have real jobs. Going to work in the dark in the morning? Who cares, but nice to have more daylight when you get home to do something.

I just don't like waking up a week ago and it is getting light and now all of a sudden I am waking up in the dark again. Just pick one way or another and stick with it. When I lived in AZ (no DST) the biggest problem we had was remembering what hour TV shows came on as we kept swtiching between MST and PST.

I vote for permanent daylight savings time. I'm a morning person, give me more light in the morning and I'm happy. I hate std time and always celebrate when it's over.

Ottawa has the same latitude as PDX. Toronto and Montreal are further south. Huge number of Canadians live within 100 miles of us border.

Set the clocks forward and be done with it! (Night owl speaking here).
And while we're at, can we please switch over to the metric system?

Just make sure you wash the thyme first. Otherwise if you use it in a recipe, you and your company may end up dining on the sands of thyme as well--and no one will ask for seconds.

Touron, it's safe to use thyme in a bottle, if you cook it in a Croce pot
