I eat corned beef, but in truth do not like cabbage. It's a vegetable.

Do you eat corned beef and cabbage on St. Patrick's Day? I enjoy corned beef. Yum! Hmmm....here is something interesting. In Monteserrat, St. Patrick's day is a national holiday, and their festival lasts all week. What a country! up.gif up.gif up.gif

Touron is a nougat of Arabic origin made with almonds and honey or sugar, without which it would just not be Christmas in Spain.

Curious... what is uncured corned beef? I thought it was "cured" pretty much by definition? Or does it just not have pink salt/Prague powder? --Gray

Good question. The label says "uncured," but the product is packed in brine. Maybe it's TJ's way of saying "no nitrates."

No corned beef, but I did enjoy a delicious cabbage salad and green-colored macaroni&cheese!

Rashers and bangers and eggs! And perhaps a pint of Murphy's red ale...
