Advertising backcountry ranger summer internships, with stipend. If you know a young person who has been volunteering on trail projects you might mention this to them. I don't think they're going to get anybody that is cross-cut saw certified. See below link, and scroll down. http://www.mtadamsinstitute.com/jobs/

Easy enough to get certified. Word of warning for those young folks willing to do this, brother a year younger than I wore his hips out doing this. Had both replaced.

Don't know why this is for just a young person. If i was retired i'd jump on it. Crosscut certification is not an issue.

Another dirty-sounding thread title with no payoff. Sigh.

They probably figure old fogeys can't handle the physical aspects. Who knew that hiking wears out your hips? No wonder cavemen rarely lived longer 30 years

Usually the funding source is for 18- 25 - the goal is to get the yutes out & about, not to give fogeys somewhere to play around & get paid for it. clown.gif , and some of these are for vets only.

You might think almost never doing double entendre humor would keep one out of trouble. The problem is you don't develop the appropriate filter on what you say. Several times I've looked around the conference table wondering why everyone is agape. I have to play back in my mind what I've said to get it.
