We were driving up Ruud Canyon ( north end of Badger Mt., coming up from Waterville to the summit) this afternoon and spotted a Great Gray. It flew from tree to tree along the road, so we got several good looks. I've never seen one before. Very impressive. We'd seen a Long Eared owl (possibly two) a couple of times earlier today while hiking along Duffy Creek above Douglas Creek. Flowers barely starting.

They don't make years like they used to.

very cool sighting for sure.
We had one spend a winter in Bridle Trails ( Kirkland / Bellevue) and it was there with a Snowy Owl. I spent a lot of time in the park that winter.
