Interesting that the map on the link shows the "cutoff to the Barlow Road" but does not include the Barlow Road. Guess the Oregon legislature felt it to not be historically significant.

After the Barlow was built it became the Oregon Trail. The original Oregon Trail was mostly a river raft ride from The Dalles to Portland/Oregon City (I believe).
