Greetings! Any nwhikers going to be in Santa Clara or Chicago for the finale shows? If so, let's try to get together for a hike beforehand. You know what they say: If you're not a head, you're behind clown.gif Irie

Lets take a hike to Dose Meadows and really have some fun.

Since I have no expectations of forgiveness, I don't do it in the first place. That loop hole needs to be closed to everyone.

Did you forget the snow, coldrain? I always like a trip to some meadows, but am usually with dog so no NPs. Does this mean you will be in attendance? Cheers!

200 shows with Jerry alive - since, maybe 3 and all were severely disappointing. Fare Thee Well occurred 20 years ago. I'd much rather go hiking.

Only 100+ for me bt 88 and 95. True that most post-Jerry showz have been ok--I have been to only a few--but this seems like a nice send off even despite the clear money grab. And, the special events I've attended have been crucial. Old school road trip: visit friends in Portland and Ashland with backpacking bt here and CA, party with old friends in CA and dayhike, more backpacking bt CA and IL, see an old friend perform with some legends on a Chicago big stage and party with more old friends for the finale, visit family in MO, visit bro in MN, and backpack in MT and/or ID on way home. Been wanting to do the road trip with the dog for a few years, and this official FTW provides a worthy excuse. Cheers!

Might have helped if you gave some indication what you are talking about.

Sorry BlameTheDog, guess I've always been behind, though I went to school with a ton of heads in the late '70s, including some folks with prodigious tape collections, and worked with a guy who spent a season or two selling stuff he made at shows in order to pay his way. Heard enough of the tapes for one lifetime! I'm sure it will be an intriguing spectacle and a good party though sorta different from the old times in a hopefully not-disappointing way.

Good one! lol.gif Drinky Crow - here's some context. I'm pretty sure anyone who would be going would have gotten the OP

There are Dead channels on Spotify and Pandora as well as on Satellite radio kind of fulfills the need for music. If you are going for the vibe it sure isn't what it used to be with the age of the band and fans. shakehead.gif

to quote Bob Dylan...and Jerry it just makes it too concise and too clear that Johanna's not here... I might do the pay-per-view thing and play it through my PA and scare the neighbors. I never in all my years of Dead touring saw a show at a Mega Stadium - biggest was Autzen. Why start now? Red Rocks, MSG and the Greek Theater were my favs.
'88 Greek Theater I will admit that having Trey play the part of Jerry might be interesting...even though I'm not a phan of Phish. I much prefer the Andy Coe band for my Dead fix, come see them play on July 12th at Sandpoint, My band, Little Sense, will be the second or third band that day - I'm the DJ/sound guy for that show ( SEAPEACE). We're also playing at the Tractor on June 16th.
