I'm traveling (French Alps!) this summer and want to upload photos via wifi. Everything I've tried seems uber-slow -- flickr, picasa, DropBox. Am I missing something? Is there any good free or cheap online storage that doesn't seem to take half a minute per photo?
What Bryan said.
I have over 76,000 photos on flickr.
I wouldn't have stuck with it that long if it took a half a minute per photo to upload.
Of course if you have a slow or unreliable internet connection all bets are off on probably any on line service.
The bottleneck is the connection. Unless you are only talking about a very few photos forget it unless you don't mind spending half your vacation uploading. I just took one of these (and a tablet) to Scotland last year. Plenty of room for other stuff besides photos. Books, maps, etc.
