There are a couple of books of his photos out. The Asahel Curtis Sampler from 1973 and the more recent, An Asahel Curtis Portfolio, Seattle from 1985. Only a few of the photos shown in this article are in either book. He's controversial now because he was an advocate for roads into the mountains so more people could enjoy being out. Fortunately, his backing for a round the mountain highway, where the Wonderland Trail is now, didn't go through.
