On both Mapsource US Topo 3.02, and the latest version of NwTopos, I see a shelter at Lower Blue Lake (Pilot Ridge). I can't find any info or pics online of this, so I assume there isn't anything there now. Was there ever a shelter here?

Probably; there were many back in the day. It's not there now. It's wierd that Mackinaw shelter is still around. Yakbid (at white pass) is gone, as are so many others; shelters and lean-to's were abundant.
