I assume that this year's fire are the end for a number of lookouts. I received a note that the Berray Mountain Lookout survived the Goat Rock Complex fires in western Montana. Top of mountain burned, but last hundred feet had little or no fuel. Lookout is a wooden tower type.
This is above the Bull Run River, north of the Clark Fork, east of Scotchman Peak.

If your photo a couple feet to the right of the side ridge and tree, the this photo from INCIWEB appears to be a few feet to the left same small side ridge. Is this the same tree, now burnt?
