Here are some photos I took during a lull in the storms last weekend at Cape Disappointment and the Astoria Column. They are best viewed on my blog: http://illuminationsfromtheattic.blogspot.com/2015/11/waves-and-towers-storms-at-astoria.html

Hard to believe it's been five years since I took this one out at Cape Flattery. Have been wanting to get back out and take some more, especially since I use better shooting techniques now:

It must be 9 years since I've been out there; I only had a little 7 megapixel Kodak then! It's always such a long drive to get out there, and there are so many other lovely places along the way, that I rarely end up going all the way to Flattery/Shi Shi these days, and when I do I usually just go straight to Shi Shi and back.

(moved from POTD) power went out, can't work, go to the beach. Same beach as the above. No fetchin' sticks today. There were 50' logs getting tossed around. Clear and sunny by sunset.
