Thank you, Touron. That is a fun article. I've always liked that rainy day story about climbing out of the rowboat to a cabin without a roof. The Denny family were settlers in a soggy Seattle. Some farm land from Seattle to Tacoma is still being used for the envisioned use. There are green belts with birds and rabbits.
I'd love to have a after work cocktail (or two) with one of the Denny party original settlers. I need a time machine. I'd like to pick their brains. The interviewed Denny family descendant expressed this; "Maria Denny thinks her ancestors would be pleased to see what the city has become.." They call it progress. They started by building a roof on the log cabin.
