just wanted to see if anyone out there has worked with an electrician they know would be willing to work on the side doing a kitchen remodel. it's about 40-60 hours of work and i am fine with them working after they do their normal day job.
thanks!

I've always done my own wiring, which is legal because I'm the property owner. But I am not licensed to work on property I do not own.
Have fun!

Well I am licensed, but I just finished my own kitchen remodel, and its going to be a while before I think about doing another.

Fe, I do kitchens all the time. Four currently in progress. I've never seen a remodel take more than a few hours to change a few wires. As an owner you can do it as BS said but technically you do need to pull an L&I permit. (online) A lot of folks skip it. If no substantial changes are made its probably OK and safe but frankly I wouldn't mess with it. For many reasons. I won't touch electric or plumbing on a paying gig even though I've done two houses. If you are an owner who doesn't want to do-it-yourself I recommend having the rough-in done by a licensed electrician. Have them pull the permit and call for the inspection. It's pretty straight forward to do the trimout yourself if you want to save some treasure.

yes. that's why this is a remodel, not a new construction.
