I've had the privilege of attending a couple of Wolf's presentations. One on the history of paddling and exploration of PNW rivers was near and dear to my heart. Another on the science of marine shoreline management and stabilization was both insightful and fascinating. RIP Wolf. Your positive impact will be felt for generations to come.

Bauer is definitely a big name in the annals of Northwest mountaineering. I am glad Lowell had the opportunity to interview he and many of his generation before they passed. RIP
