Anyone know whether there is cell phone reception on the Chelan Lakeshore trail (even if not available everywhere)? Normally this wouldn't be big deal for me, but for an upcoming trip planned for this May, it could be very helpful.

None whatsoever for me. Got reception on the return boat ride near Chelan.

Doubtful, I rarely get reception up in the Northern parts of the state.

And it's a long climb up to the Ridge to get a signal!

Ok, well that's good to know, even if it isn't what I wanted to hear. Thanks.

On a 10 day trip, I will call the misses once or twice to let her know I'm OK. Have not had a problem unless it's in the Winds. Then it's hit or miss. Gives her peace of mind.

Which Carrier? They all have coverage maps, which are for the most part highly optimistic. I'm often amazed by the places where I'll pick up signal from Verizon, but that tends to be on high ridges and such. Lake Chelan lies in a deep gorge, I sure would not expect any signal 📶 along the lake shore past 25 mile campground -- if that.
If you really need to keep in contact with family /business associates, rent a satellite phone.
If the concern is emergency usage, get a PLB, Spot or InReach.
Even with Verizon -- coverage looks completely absent up the lake in the Lakeshore trail region.

The InReach can be used for normal routine two-way communication. I use it to communicate with my wife on every trip I take out. None of them have included any emergency communication.
