I'd like to do some exploring on and around some of the glaciers in the Purcells. Particularly Jumbo, Commander and Horseshoe Glaciers. I'm an avid scrambler, but have never done any ice travel. Given all of the logistics, it almost seems impossible to do without hiring a guide. Anyone with experience plan on heading up to that area this summer? Or at the very least, have any general advice? It's a long shot, but I thought I'd try. Thanks. Brett
